ü Understanding

With partners, answer the following:

1.      Where, when and with whom did this experiment take place

School, Tuesday and Wednesday, with the teachers and the students.

2.      Describe the experiment.

Discriminate the blue eyes students with brown eyes students, at first, praise the blue eyes on their smartness, preference and let them play on the playground freely and happily and let the brown eyes feels like lonely people , bad people , stupid and dump like they never know and understand anything then,  on the next day the teacher did the reverse thing , like praise the brown eyes on the blue eyes by their  smartness, preference and let them play on the playground so the blue eyes feels like they are in a prison , bad people , unlike people so that nobody likes them.

3.      What were the results?

The students realized that there is no differences between blue eyes and brown eyes also, they knew that automatically no discriminating between white people and black people and no differs between Indian people or dump people, so everyone feels equal , unites, integrate and happily.

4.      How successful do you believe it was?

In my opinion, it was very successful specially to this students of this very young age , because children always judge others in a bad way so the effect of this experiment has successfully changed the way of their thinking about others and let them think in a positive way.

Going Deeper

In groups of four, discuss the following:

Ø  a time she or he experienced prejudice or discrimination

The time suits every single moment especially in this world, because this case happens in every society, so it was very important to discuss this kind of issues however, previous times or present times so every one doesn’t discriminate between others./ Also, she transferred their bad thinking of prejudice in a friendly and peacefully way.

Ø  a time she or he discriminated against somebody else

It works very well, because when you doesn’t  discriminate between blue and brown eyes or also, black and white people would make everyone feels equal.

Ø  a time she or he witnessed discrimination and did nothing about it

It could be that she didn’t did something because she can’t change the color of people’s skins or eyes because God created them like that.\ Or , she noticed all the discrimination in a class and she tried or to do something or to look for a solution to solve it by her way.

Ø  a time she or he witnessed discrimination and did something about it

When she asked the students if there is any people you don’t like and they answered like Indians, black people and dump people, and she solved it by doing the experiment./ Also, when she discovered that there is a discrimination between them she let them wear a cincture which is it a point to the discriminated body.
